i found a pair of old jensen "calstar model 1010 20 element twin-array column speakers. i cant find anything on them. i mainly want to know what they were used for. they are 5 foot tall, 1 foot wide and 4 inches thick.

I would hold on to them - should sound pretty good. They will be quite expensive to replace - and they must have a good wide sound to them.

They probably were an upscale home model I am guessing.

What amp are you using to drive them?
How do they sound?
