will pausing cds or dvds for that matter for an extended period of time cause any damage to the cd/dvd/player/computer? just wondering cuz i do it a lot...

Maybe a little hard on the motor but I am not sure. I don't think it is recommended but I am also no engineer.

Don't keep doing it. It's hard on the motor because it keeps spinning and the laser is on all the time. It won't damage the player short term, but it will wear it out a lot faster than if you didn't do it.

My car DC player says loading....when I insert a CD and then eventually ejects it without playing. I've tested several cds same response. I tried to clean it but the player does the same thing with that CD... Any ideas? Thank you!
