I am just about to purchase some equiptment from my mate, as he is moving abroad, and would like some info and your thoughts on these items.
Would also like to know what the cost of the items would have been when purchased as new items, and what they may be worth now.
Here is the list......
A pair of speakers, TDL RTL4s.
Michell turntable (Mycro with Rega arm)
Harmon Kardon CD player
Akai Reel-to-reel tape recorder (4000DS Mk II)
Rotel turntable pre-amp
Alchemist Freya twin pre-amp
Pair of Alchemist Genesis mono-block power amps
NAD Tuner
High quality wires for everything.

James, I thought Audiogon was American. I think Snafu is from the UK?

Here's a few answers:
The Mycro was around £500 inc arm.
The Rotel phono stage was around £125. Nowadays it wouldn't hold a candle to the current £120 faves such as the Project Phono Box SE.
Depending on who you read, the Freya was either £1020 or £1150 and the Genesis monoblocks were £1400 or £1525 per pair.
NAD tuners were (and still are) not usually expensive. Depends on your model but usually less than £300.
RTL4s were around £500 when I sold them last.
