used Marantz SR5000 or new Denon AVR485s
Your Decision will have an effect on my choice. They are about the same price to me. I do however want Denon's 6.1 rather than the Marantz 5.1
Please post what you would choose if you had a choice between the two mentioned above. Lets say I had mid-ranged quality speakers like infinity... |

check out ubid for marantz and denons. and ebay for harman kardon. they give the full factory waranty are are refurbs. good deals. |

If you're into movies, and have a room that will accomodate 6 or 7.1, you should go that route. It makes a difference and adds to the movie experience. |

My budget is sub $200 US, I am afraid I am only contemplating on those two... the Marrantz is from a guy moving and needs to shed the weight, the Denon is being shipped to me. I could always return the denon, but I am really drooling over 6.1
