Dynaudio.

Although subjective, they will sound better than most any speaker with most any amp on a comparative basis.

Unfortunately, most people on this board have no idea who they are.

Ok, I'll bite, who are they? Yeah, I know I can look at their website BUT this about the first time I've seen a consensus on anything on this site.

The internet has a peculiar way of restricting body language, facial expression, etc.

Are you serious?

I own Paradigm Studio 20's (wonderful little speaker for the money) and must say probably the Dynaudio 52. Great speaker!

Game's at halftime.

Typically, Dynaudio are painfully neutral and uncolored, silky smooth and balanced from top to bottom with a flat response. They just faithfully reproduce the source/electronics. A difficult 4 ohm load.

To me, neutrality and balance are the hallmark of a great speaker. Opinions may vary.

Some reviews are here:

Also, not cheap but not price prohibitive, either.

The payback is terrific speaker with one of the best resale values around.

Heck, you'd be better served with a boombox. Save up until you're ready to buy real speakers, and dont bother until that time comes.

Paul owns Cerwin Vega's and Bose. When it comes to speakers his responses can be safely ignored.

Guess what tonight’s contender is

“Rebel without a clue AKA Paul,” the attention seeker.

“I’m not an attention seeker”

Yea, that picture was funny, but only the first 5 times you posted it in various threads.

Jaw,

I was serious so I appreciated your additional comments and feedback. Actually, I meant to take a look at their website last night but got occupied watching "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea." Better than I remember it BUT no HUGE explosions. (That was for Paul.) Speaking of which, do I need to separate you and Andy, again? :-)

Actually it is still pretty funny Paul. Kind of like how you pretend to have a clue about audio and hi-fi.

How are Dynaudio's not "real speakers"?

DAK,
Did not mean to sound snippy, so I appreaciate your comments.

I only get snippy defending NAD AVR owners suffering from a myriad of QC headaches who get no respect from Blue Sky NAD owner's fortunate enough not to have any problems with their AVR.

Most NAD owners are not myopic enough to not consider the aggravations of all the others.

Apparently didn't offend; hope you enjoyed the flick. The internet is something else; you could not get away this stuff in the Corporate Boardroom.
