hello.i enjoy a 5cd player.(i think the format is ideal for multiply discs.)right now i use an older sony CDP-CE15.
i have recently upgraded my stereo system and the CD player is next.
the components iuse are as follows:
cambridge 540A AZUR amplifier
PSB image B25 speakers(very warm)
and am getting pro-ject debut 3 turntable.
any thoughts on a good match 5cd player,say in the
$300-400 range?

Has burr brown dac.
You can tweak it to sound better - open it up and dis-locate the headphone wires.
