hello - i am updating my system - it has been over 25yrs. since i have ventured into this medium & i have found i am lacking in some of the new technology - i am planning on buying a yamaha rxv-2400 reciever along w/ a cambridge audio azur-640c to go along w/ my polk audio speakers - any suggestions or comments would be appreciated - i want to buy a very nice system that suits my audio needs more than video - thank you

The Cambridge CD player is excellent but I would reconsider the receiver. If you decide on that receiver then you could do with a less expensive cd player. At a similar price point I would consider a Harmon Kardon or NAD T743 receiver.
