I'm part of a two-piece band, a drummer and me the bassist. I have a mysterious Marshall bass cabinet with unknown exact handling abilities, a GK RBIII head that's... 250 watts (?). i got them both used without manuals and such, so i don't know their exact specs. i also have an old Gretsch cabinet from 1965 and a head that goes with it that's 100 watts. i want another cabinet and head in addition. I was looking at a new GK that's 700 watts or a Hartke that's 500 watts, and then an SWR Goliath III for a new cabinet. The Goliath III can handle 800 at 8 ohms, but i want to just buy one new head and cabinet and still make sure i maximize output between all three cabinets. what's the easiest way to match everything up to run the connections correctly and get the most volume out of the setup? thanks.
