has anyone had any experience with Athena AS-B2's. most reviews i have read are good. any input would be helpfull.

I own a pair and they're very good speakers for the money. I only paid $120 for mine because of a clearance sale at Best Buy. The AS-B1 is a slightly smaller version of the B2 with a little less bass and BB has been blowing those out for under $90 for quite a while. If you can't find the B2 anywhere, go for the discounted B1.
