Hi
I have just recieved an old technics sl-n5- my first tt in more then 20 years. There is a definite hum every time the TT is connected to the mm input on my preamp. However I couldn't find any slot to place a grounding wire on the Technics. Where should it be connected?

Normally it is next to the lead outs of the table. There should be a lug to attach a wire if the ground cable is not already attached.
