Hi, Can anyone please advice me on which would be a better buy, DENON 1803 or YAMAHA HTR 5560 (or RXV 630) My speakers are B&Ws, Center:CC6, Fronts: 602 s2, Rears: 601 s2 and a Energy XL:s8 subwoofer, I want a receiver that will perform well with both music and movies. Which do you think would be a better buy in value and sound quality..? Thanks alot, Merry Xmas. M. |

Hello Mac I have a home theater store and I work with both line of products. My recommendation is to go with the Yamaha HTR-5590 (699.00)it has a 32-bit processor for DD EX & DTS-ES decoding,192k-24bit DAC,60mhz component video bandwidth, 100w x 6ch at 0.04%THD in stereo 0.06% surroud mode. The Denon AVR-1803 features a 80w x 6ch at 0.08%THD both stero & surround mode,94k-24bit DAC, 27mhz component video bandwidth and 32-bit devices for DD EX,DTS ES & PLII processing. Another exellent choice could be the Kenwood VR-6070 with THX certification or the Onkyo Tx-SR700. Happy HO ho ho-ly-days. |
