I'd like to optimize the placement of my speakers in an assymetrical room w/ vaulted ceilings. Right now, I think spending some time tuning the room or adjusting speaker placement would be a better investment of my limited resources than throwing more money at equipment. (I have an NAD T753 and Paradigm Studio Reference 60s).

I know there are some software titles that give insight on good speaker placement using models of the room, contents and speakers. Obviously I'd prefer free solutions, but I am not averse to paying a reasonable price, either.

Any recommendations and/or experiences (good or bad) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Do you listen to mostly to movies, Stereo, or Multichannel SACD/DVD-A music? Where is your primary listening position? Is it just you, or are there others who will be in room at listening position? I responded to a similar question. Þ here
