I am looking for a way to use a seperate receiver (such as a Yamaha) with the speakers for the Bose Lifestyle 12 system. Bose Corporation says that it can not be done. I don't believe them. Any suggestions from anyone will be appreciated. |

Unfortunately, I would tend to believe them. Bose has a habit of using proprietary connectors on a lot of their systems which are incompatible with standard stuff. Also of importance, the Bose cubes dont operate within the frequency range of "normal" speakers, so you would still want to connect them up to the bass module's amplifiers to make sure the sound is blended properly with the sub.

Jim, just eBay the darn thing...you'll never regret it, not for a second. BTW, here's a nice analysis of Bose: http://www.intellexual.net/bose.html |
