I bought these lovely babies used and I still own DM 601 S3, but sound is similar....
I was told that this is due to my amp/source which is not that good at the moment and that it does not briong out the best in CDM's.
(Arcam Alpha 9p power amp with discman as a temp source, no preamp),is this true?

Also it would be cool to have user manual or pics of inside of CDM 1 SE ...anyone...
