Scott: It is the finest cartridge I have ever owned and probably the best cartridge I ever heard. I really wish I could get a replacement stylus for mine. It is a MM cartridge. |

I KNOW IT IS A MM! Fact is, when I bought it, I grilled the salesman at Kiefs when I got it because I didn't want to have to buy an external "head amp" which would be necessary if it was a moving coil cartridge. My receiver at the time did not have enough gain to drive a MC cartridge (designed before MC cartridges were ever released) and "high output" MC cartridges did not yet exist. I was able to drive it without any problems. Finally, I confirmed it by reading the literature that accompanied the cartridge. So, there is no question it is a MM design. |
