I am looking to get a system for my 97 chevy x-cab. I need some ideas on some good subwoofers (preferably 12's). I have been looking at JL Audio 12w3v2 and Eclipse 7100,8100 which looked pretty good, but i was wondering if there was any better 12's out there for around the same price. I also do not know what features to look for in an amp, so a little information would be greatly appreciated.

I want my subs to hit hard but have great sound quality doing it.

wow, im already impressed with you because of what your doing. Your smart, VERY smart, for looking into eclipse, and you made a better choise by saying the 8100 with the 7100 becuase, its like this, the 8100 is 30 bucks more than the 7100, but about 2 times better. The 7100 is about the EXACT SAME as the w3v2, the 8100 is about the EXACT same as the jl w6v2, but less spl, more sq. These are all great subs!, but what is your price range? do you want spl or sq. How many subs, what is the biggets box you can do for your subs?
