I have a mini shelf system and I noticed that it only has a R,L connection in the back for auxillary. I just recently bought a subwoofer and surround speakers for my dvd player. They can connect to my dvd player.
I noticed on the subwoofer it has connections where you could connect a stereo. Unfortunately, it didn't work. Is there any way I can make a sound output from my shelf system to the subwoofer?

Is there a subwoofer out on your mini?
If yes, get a RCA connector from radioshack and connect it to your sub - if your sub is powered (has it's own amp built in).

If not, you have to use speaker wires to connect to your sub, and then from the sub to speakers.

The first way sounds better.

If you want to inprove the sound really, you can goto separate system for not much money, if you ebay it.

Toshiba 3960 DVD player for cd ($50)
Onkyo TX-LR552 ($200 on the web)
Athena AS-b1 speaker ($170)
Sony SA-WM 250 sub ($80)

This system will sound a lot better than whatyou have.

I have one of them mini cassett recorders and I cannot make out the words spoken because of the noises (wind ect.) that were recorded as well, is there anything or any service that can tell me exactly what was being said.
