I am considering whether or not I should purchase a Harmon Kardon AVR 520. I have pretty much read only good things about it. I can purchase it for about $500, which is a good deal. I was wondering if there is a better recomendation for about the same price. I want a powerful, yet clean system, that will last a long time.
With it I think I am going to get the Acoustic Research HC2 package, let me know what you think of them as well.

Hi,
I just got the 525 and, man it is amazing!!!!!
I know the 520 is quite similiar but not a 7.1 system. If 5.1 works for you and you enjoy magnificent sound quality and superior build...get the HK ;)
(this thing is 50 freekin pounds!)
