The left channel on my CDP-CX400 CD jukebox suddenly disappeared. Well, you can just hear a very, very quiet and very distorted signal. I changed amplifiers, speakers, and all cables, and of course the CDs, but it's clearly the CD player machine itself. It only has one set of analog outputs, plus an digital/optical out, which I don't think I can use, can I?. The right channel is totally fine. Is there anything I can do? I hate to take it to Sony, if only because it's got 400 indexed CDs in it. Can anyone give some advice please? I don't have a lens cleaner, but it couldn't be a dirty lens, could it, with only the one channel affected?
