What kind of sound interaction will you have with both a sealed subwoofer and a ported subwoofer?
I ask this because I built a ported box for two 10” subs and the sound is good but not great. It just doesn’t have a sharp sound for my music tastes.
I think the sealed will give me the sound I like but the problem is that I don’t think the amp is really big enough to push sealed enclosures. Maybe having a ported sub as well, I get the volume I like plus the sharpness of a sealed.

The lowdown on components:
I built a ported box out of two Rockford Fosgate 10” subs, 8ohm
New amp – Yamaha RX-V650
Old amp to power my subs – Yamaha AX 630 (bought new in 1991)
I am using the old amp to power the subs with the pre-out on the new amp.

Since I already had the subs (used in my jeep a couple of years ago) and the older amp, not much is invested.

Thanks for any info.
