I have a pair of four year old Energy e:XL-26 speakers. I'm upgrading my receiver from an old Sony ES to a new NAD T753. I'm also considering getting new speakers - namely, the PSB Image 5T or 6T. Can anyone comment on how the PSB Image 5T or 6T compares with the Energy e:XL series? I would like to audition to compare, but won't have the time.

I would suggest waiting until you can make the time to audition them both. You can't rush a good thing :-)
