If you know your stuff, maybe you could please help me with my situation. I have an HK AVR125 receiver, vintage Advent Walnut floor front speakers, and a Wharfedale Diamond center speaker. After adding the new Wharfedale center speaker to my system, when I play a DVD I periodically get a crackling sound from my Advents. I never had any problems with crackling before I added the center channel. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Take the grill covers off the Advents and check for cracked or broken surround material on the woofer. If a light prod with your finger causes the surround material to fall apart, you have found your problem.
