Ok, so is there any difference between the types of receivers. Are there actually any"types" of receivers? Thanks.

These adjectives are used to describe the sound of a particular component.

What is warm sounding to one listener might be neutral to another or vice versa.

Compare receivers on features and power and then listen to them to decide which "type" is best suited for you.
