As you all know I seem to love the Wharfedale Diamond 8.2s and the 9.1s. However, I'm a little fed up of looking around for different bookshelf speakers and reading tonnes of reviews. I want to know what the best value for money pair of bookshelf speakers are for no more than £180. The £100-£150 mark is more suitable for me really, considering I will also be spending some money on either the Cambridge Audio A5 amp, the Azur 340 or the NAD C320BEE and some preterminated speaker wire and some interconnects. The speakers must have a good frequency response too I guess because I listen to rock and metal. Hope you can advise me on the best choice of bookshelf speakers, thanks! |

James, Go to a reputable dealer and have a demo with the NAD C320BEE or Cambridge amp and: Acoustic Energy EVO1 B&W DM303 Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 Then you'll know which you prefer. These models are all under your target price and all good. Any half-decent dealer will have them in stock to be able to demo them to you. My money's on the B&Ws. Regards, Frank. |
