I'm planning on updating my current HTPC package into a more versatile until. I just bought an HK AVR-230 and am a little baffled on which speakers to pair with it. Since I'm just a poor college lad money is most definitely a concern. I'm thinking $700 would be the most I would want to spend on speakers and a sub. I listen to music much more than movies, but still would prefer to have a 5.1 setup. Amway, I talk a lot. I'm pretty much caught between buying 4 JBL E30's and a JBLE35 for the center or 2 Klipsch SB-2, 2 Klipsch SB-1, and *insert sub here* Does anyone have any experience with the aforementioned speakers and have any advice for an audiophile-wannabe.

If i were you i would go with the JBL's good lows but highs at high volumes tend to be harsh Good luck |
