Hello guys,
First, great site, great job...
I need some help deciding on a new receiver, I got my sights on Marantz SR7500 ($1300cdn), Marantz SR8500 ($1700-2000cdn) and Denon AVR8305 ($1500cdn).
My room size is 12x20 feet. My speakers are:
Front mains Kef Q3
Front Center Kef Q9C
Rear surrounds Kef Qcompact
Rear center will be added for 6.1 setup.
Subwoofer Cerwin Vega
I listen 70% HT, 30% music.
My problem is to decide between those three receivers which are very well reviewed. The Denon is priced between the two Marantz. For this kind of investment, I want the best bang for the buck and be happy for a long time.
I have a friend that has a Marantz SR7400 with 4 Kef Q3 and Kef Q9C, he complains a little bit about power at high volumes but in general is happy with it. Which is why I'm looking at the bigger models.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |
