My brother-in-law is sending me 4 new tower speakers and I am going to set up a new system. I am thinking about getting something like a Yamaha HTR 5760 (7.1 @110 watts per channel), or HTR 5740 (5.1 @100 watts per channel) as my reciever. The thing that I am curious about is that these speakers have a sensitivity rating of 87db and handles a maxium power of 800 watts. I have heard that the lower the sensitivity of the speakers, the higher the power amp wattage needed to drive them. Are either of these receivers going to supply enough watts to drive 4 of these speakers at once? Thanks
