I had my cd player hooked up using digital output; however, I had to also connect analog outputs to the receiver in order to record onto an analog cassette deck . Here is my question:
When both digital and analog outputs from the cd player are connected to a receiver, which DACs are being used, the players or the receivers? Am I hearing digital output or analog? Which takes priority? Sorry if the questions are dumb, but I'm a little confused.
