I have a Kenwood VR-8070 reciever with video up conversion. I am currently running this to a TV with only one S-video input and no componet inputs. My sat. receiver and dvd player both have S-video output. I tried routing my sat. and dvd player video with composite RCA through my receiver and have my monitor out be S-video. However I get no signal when I try this. S-video straight from the dvd player to the TV works, and composite video routed through the receiever works for my sat. How can I get this to allow me have only RCA inputs and one S-video output?

Why don't you just run 2 S-Video inputs into your reciever and use the 1 S-Video out to your TV?

Forget the composites and let your sources deal with the video signal.

Sounds like your monitor out is not set to S-Video. I can't seem to find a kenwood manual online to verify this though.

I fixed it. I have no idea how, but now it works.
Thanks for trying to help
