Just purchased the following speakers: 2 Colbalt 826 s's for fronts 1 Colbalt CC 800 s for center 2 Colbalt 806 s's for rear I have narrowed down to the following recievers. Which one is the best value. 1. Denon 3805 ($1200) 2. Integra 7.4 ($1400) 3. Maranz 8500 ($1400) 4. NAD T763 ($1400) My budget for an AV reciever is about $1500. I watch movies a greater percentage of my time then listen to music. What would you recommend?

Nothing in that price range is bad. Only you can decide which is best. All you are going to get on here is owners of each model saying theirs is better. IMO, none of the models listed is the best value, but that's just me. You need to do your homework and decide that for yourself. |

I agree with Paul; they're all good receivers. However, if your emphasis is on movies, I'd drop the NAD from my list; it is more noted for its excellent reproduction of music and I don't believe has as many "bells and whistles" for HT listening/viewing. |

To clarify the 'jist' of my last comment...... Once you fully educate yourself on each reciever, a favorite will emerge among the finalists. I agree about jims comment about NAD. |

Thanks for the info. I am leaning towards the Maranz for it dvi inputs. It seams it will make an good preamp if I decide to get separate amps in the future |
