I need to know with one would you choos to build you home theatre. Taking in consideration that I listen 60% music and 40% Movies. I want really good sound quality. The options are: Marantz SR5500 Denon AVR-2805 Onkyo TX-SR702 Thank you |

For 60% music I'd take the Marantz in a heartbeat. I think Cambridge Soundworks has the 5500 for $600 shipped right now too, not bad considering that it's the replacement model not only for the 5400 (which I have and love) but also for the next model up, the 6400. |

I use the SR5400 as my processor and love it. It was a great buy. I have also owned both Denon and Onkyo. Long story short, both the Marantz and Denon are better for movies than the Onkyo and the Marantz is better than both for Music. Conclusion...as is obvious from my purchase...I like the Marantz. |
