Hi everyone, I have an Onkyo TX SV-424, and when it got delivered, the balance-bass-treble knobs didnt work. I have it hooked up to two Infinity Entra three speakers, and the bass sounds really distorted when i turn them up. They are connected to my laptop, i mainly listen to mp3s from it, but when i previously hooked up my laptop to other setups (Cerwin Wega speakers and yamaha receiver) they sounded perfectly, so i presume the problem lies within the receiver, despite te fact that i listen to fair quality mp3 from my laptop. Can anyone tell me how i could improve the quality of the sound? I also purchased an external Audigy 2 sound card, so that i can avoid the minijack. p.s.: i play through winamp, and the only way i can get fairly average bass is when i turn them all down in the equalizer section of winamp. Pls. someone help me out, Thank you Endre |

Balance Base and Treble don't work when you are in 'CD Direct' mode...
