I have a Yamaha 3090 that has 2 sub jacks. I have 2 powered subs connected and want to add a third. Is it possible to add a splitter cable to one of the jacks so I can put 2 subs on it?

I believe so, I am currently splitting off 1 sub jack into 2 subs from a Yammy 2400 and it seems to work without a problem. But I am a little unclear myself whether it sacrifices signal quality or not.
