Hey guys, Just wandering if anyone can recommend a pair of floorstanding speakers to suit this set up: naim 5i, naim cd5x. My budget is <£1,250 and so far i've tried out some PMC GB1's, which seemed to complement the system quite well but want to know if anyone out there has any other suggestions? I listen to a range of music from ambient electronica to metal via johnny cash. What do you reckon? What are people with a similar set-up running? |

Nice rig. I think a host of British speakers would go well with those highly regarded components. The Naim 5 is not a behemoth of an integrated so for full dynamic range, I would look at something that has relatively high sensitivity (92+dB). Cheers. |

Charlie You don't need high sensitivity, the Nait5i is more powerful than many would credit. Apart from the PMCs, here's a few floorstanders in that price range that suit the combination well (I've tried them all bar the EPOS): Totem Arro - almost made to measure Dynaudio Audience 62 Dynaudio Audience 72 (just) EPOS M22.2 (just, also difficult to drive) Naim Arivas (bang on the top of your budget) Regards, Frank. |

Naim gear is GREAT. I hear the Shahinian Starter is a really good partner to the Naim Nait gear. |
