I found a 20 year old Mcintosh Pre+Power in a dealer for 3750$. Power amp is 2X200 Watt. I currently use a 2X22 Watt SET and I'm happy with the sound but I can't get any bass and what's worse is that I get uncontrolled boomy bass which isn't even there in the music. It was something I agreed at first but now it's annoying me. I wonder if a Mcintosh can drive my 703 fully and make them sound like a real studio monitor which what I want right now.
