i dont like my sound on vented design subwoofer(definitivetech 15tl+) lately,it gets kindof boomy so i was thinking of sealing its port completely(to get tighter bass),would it be a bad idea?or any other suggestions? |

Are you saying that lately you do not like the boominess that the sub produces or that the sub has gotten boomy lately. I have owned this sub in the past and I never thought that it was boomy. The location of the sub in the room will have more impact on the sound quality than plugging the port. Keep it a minimum of 6" to 8" from the walls and do not place it in a corner. You may also need to tune it. What volume is the sub on? How high do you have the sub volume turned up on your receiver? |

Sometimes those higher bass freq.can be heard(and iīm not much into it). reciever is set at 0db.,subwoofer is at one-third,through LFE. I think my recieverīs x-over is set too high(canīt adjust it,nor turn it off)). Iīm gonna move it further away from wall and see what itīll do. |
