I've got a question on A/V receivers and a CD players. I've got a pair of Polk SDA 1Bs, and also am going to run a home theater system thru some Cambridge Sound Works speakers. Originally I was thinking Rotel 1070 AMP with a 1090 Pre for straight stereo but after reading your postings I've changed my thinking. Thru the postings here three or four receivers keep popping up including the Denon 3805, the Yamaha RXV2500, NAD, and Marantz. Because my Polks are 4 Ohm I'm crossing out the Denon. In particular I've been reading about the Marantz SR8400 and am very interested as well as the YA 2500. My question, anything in particular I should be looking or be considering. Can you also ID a NAD receiver to be considered along with the Marantz and the Yamaha.
Also, the Rotel 1072 CD player is on my shortlist. Similar question, any additional players that you would put on your shortlist. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
