Region code hack posted by systemlord, August 02 2005:
This hack also work for the LG DR7622W
Press SETUP
Move down to "LOCK" Symbol
Press "0000000" (Seven zeros)
Enter "0" Region
A "Now zonefree" confirmation message on the screen.
DVD is now Region free.

If you're interested, check out the following database of DVD handset codes. It's got a few machines that other sites don't feature, so I'm recommending it. It seems a good place to go for those rarer machines by the looks of things.
It's actually got a Sony unlock on one of its front pages. I don't know whether it works though, as I heard Sony machines can't be unlocked with a handset code? Who knows. Anyway, here's a link to the free page - the codes might be of some use to you.

Try this, it worked on my LG DR6921W DVD Recorder.
1) Press 'setup' on remote control
2) Move down to the 'lock' picture
3) Press '0000000'
4) Select region code as '0'

I found that this hack works for the Prism TF-DVD7100 Portable DVD Player. I found it on a US website where the brand was actually called COBY rather than PRISM.
With no disc in player:
On the remote control:
Press Setup
Press FF
Press FR
Press Next-Chapter
Press Prev-Chapter
Should now display a code above the language selection
Press the RIGHT arrow until the end figure is 255
Press ENTER
Press Setup to finish
It seems you only need to do it once as well!

Hi all,
Here is one from left field.
I have a LG DR6921W (yes i know its old, and I know its a peice of junk) that I picked up at a garage sale for $30. I can get it to play audio CD's and VCD's, however it will not play any DVD's. I am in australia and it is currently set at region 4, I have tried Langers 000000 unlock code on region free (0) and they still dont play. the following error comes up when I attempted to play a DVD "unknown disk, plse check disk again" not sure why, maybe the laser is broken, however it still plays vcd and cd's - very strange.
Has anyone experienced similiar problems, or can anyone offer any help on this subject. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
