I have a Pioneer Elite surround system being fed from a Time-Warner Scientific Atlanta HD STB.
I'm using digital sound via coax cable.
All channels play back audio but some are really loud, so loud that they are distorted even when I turn the volume down by 30db or more. Only have problems on Dolby Digital channels but some Dolby channels are OK.
Cable company has tried several new STB but no help.
Cable company is now implying that there may be a problem with Pioneer Elites since they are seeing this problem with other customers but they all have Pioneer Elites???
This same configuration worked in another part of the state but popped up after a move to a new area.
Both locations used the SA box.
Any suggestions? Thanks
