How important is it to get all speakers from the same speaker line a manufacturer offers?

I have a chance to get an upgraded center channel - same manufacturer (PSB) but better line than my other speakers. Should I go for it or will the sound not blend?
Thanks in advance

Depends on what materials are used in the driver and tweeter, if the sound is way off you will definitely notice it in the centre channel. Less so for surrounds, since the centre is almost always used.

When I first purchased my system they loaned me an Athena Audition centre channel while my Polk Csi was being shipped. It was so nasty I had to unplug it until the centre arrived.
