I am about to purchse some slightly used GR20s, but do not yet have a receiver. Any suggestions as to what the best matching receiver would be? I've read that Denons do not do to well with MA, since it drives the MAs to be a bit too brite? Any truth in this?

The denon/MA combo might not be the best, but if you like it then that is all that matters. On that note, for a fairly neutral system I would match the MA's with a Pioneer Elite, the highest you can afford, preferably the 54 or higher.

I have a Pioneer Elite 45 and a pair of MA GR 20's and am thrilled with the sound.

Try NAD with your MA's. Very good match
