While waiting for uncle sam to send me a tax refund figured I'd research new speakers for my home theater and music listening a bit more. So far I've narrowed my Subwoofer down to the SVS PB10-isd or HSU stf-2 (~ $450).

Before ordering the Athena speakers I wanted to see if I could get a comparison between Athena AS-F2 and Axiom M60? Are the Axioms worth $500.00 more to those that have heard both?

My listening habbits will be 65% movies 35% music. The room size they will be in 15.5' x 12.5' x 9'.

If I build an Athena Surround system with AS-F2s it would cost about $840.00 in Athena audition speakers.

If I build an Axiom M60 based system it would cost $1360.00 in Axiom speakers.

The other thought is if both the AS-F2 and the M60 would be considered overpowering for that size of a room building an Axiom system with M22 mains would cost $923.00 and is an alternative I've also kicked around.

Thanks for the help
Jay

In my experience, the M60 just sounded more detailed with better staging all around than the Athena ASF2.

cheers
