I am getting dali suite 2.8 speakers. They are 4 ohm. I wanted to get denon 3805 but was afraid would not be able to drive the speakers.So i decided on arcam300. I am not sure it is the right decision. perhaps I could get the denon and add an amplifier to drive the fronts. it is almost 1K difference between arcam and denon. if I go for denon and amp it will be even. what is my best choice to achieve the best sound at this price level?

please help.

go with denon.. usually good amps with big power supplies can drive 4 ohm speakers

Are you planning on 5.1 or 7.1? If 5.1 you can by amp with the Arcam. Also check out http://www.iar-80.com/page130.html It is a review soon to be published in Widescreen review.

After reading this you would be a fool to not buy the ARCAM
