I have narrowed down my pick of receivers to the following
Marantz sr4500 or the
Harman Kardon avr235
I am running a small Ascend set-up. Any suggestions on either of these two? |

I would go with the Marantz, the Ascend's are speakers that most people put with a "bright" receiver and the H/K is the opposite of a "bright" receiver. |

I want to buy a new receiver, but im not sure if it will work on my t.v. I do not think it will work because my vcr is what i use to change channels and i am afraid that i will have to take that out to put the receiver in. what should i do? |

I always thought the Ascends were pretty neutral, not bright. I think either reciever would work fine with the Ascends. Ascend sells H/K on thier site so that probably is the best match. |

Randy. All you have to do is run your audio cables from you VCR to your reciever instead of yout tv. |
