Hello all, I have been enjoying all of the infor provided here and figured I would test my luck...

I have a Yamaha RX-v630 and am looking for a 5.1 (minus the sub, already have one) speaker set. I was originally going to go with the Monitor Audio S8's until I read that the Yamaha/MA combo may not be a good match. Then I started looking at the Axiom M60's. Can anyone provide feedback on the speakers listed above and/or what set may be a good match for a Yamaha receiver?

I am looking to spend about $1,500 for the set (remember no sub). My room is 13x15 with vaulted ceilings. It is pretty open so is larger than it sounds. I listen to about 50/50 music/DVD's.

Hopefully you can help me out here, thanks

Mike

My recommendation is Paradigm Monitor series. Very good match with Yamaha. Listen to the Monitor 5 or 7 for mains and go from there.
