Has anyone tried (or at least has any advise with respect to) pairing Totem Arro speakers with either a Cambridge Audio combo(540A/540C or 640A/640C), or a NAD combo(C320BEE/521BEE or C352CT/C542)? Any words of wisdom about these amp/cdp/speaker matches?
Thanks.

I know the Arros well. They're excellent speakers but not that easy to drive. I don't know the Cambridge Audio stuff, but I do know the NAD. I would try to go up to the C352 to drive them well. I suggest that's the minimum. And in terms of system balance, I'd therefore much prefer if you went for the C542 CD player which is a fine machine. The C521 is excellent value of course, it's just that with the open window of the Arros and the extra resolution from the C352, you really need a better source to give of its best.

Regards,
Frank.
