I am looking for a pair of speakers for music listening. Looking to spend about $1000. The Ohm "Walsh Mini's" seem to have gotten some great press. Has anyone actually heard these speakers or has an opinion about them? |

Several threads on the speakers over the last year. Own them for H/T use and will keep for a while. Here is one. Do a search for others. http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/1/17198.html |

Hey Bart, I've talking about them a lot recently. If you haven't seen it: http://www.sixmoons.com/audioreviews/walsh/micro.html Although I don't buy on reviews, this one pretty much tells it like it is and with an at-home demo you have to start somwhere. I have the Tall version and liked them more than the Short, but Ohm will advise you. I'm still in the "demo" period but here are my basic experiences: They're easy to place (no spikes), huge sweet spot, do not sound boxy (but at the same time do not present an unrealistic soundstage with 14' guitars), amazing tonal balance - real midrange, great bass, they fit into a room easily and their customer service is excellent. Of course better sounding speakers exist, but for $1K, I haven't found anything that can do all of the above as well as the Ohms. |

Oops...I have the micro tall's too and the link I provided was for the talls. No experience with the mini's.
