Firstly, i'm new to this forum, but ive already got a few good tips off here, so thanks for that, very educational.

I got into seperates about a year ago now, ive got a cambridge audio system, its pretty cheap but to me it sounds pretty good. As im only a novice with these things im not interested in upgrading just yet as the sounds almost just right now.

However, i would like to invest in a subwoofer, because i like to listen to a lot of dance music and feel it will improve the sound even further.

I have a Cambridge Audio A1 amplifier, i think its Mk. 2 but im not sure. I'm looking for a subwoofer about £50ish, cheap and cheerful i know. I need to know whether this amplifier will be compatible with a subwoofer, and if so how do i connect it up and what cables will i need. As a student, i cant really afford any vast amounts of money.

I'd be grateful for any info you can provide, and apologies to any old pro's if i'm wasting your time.
