Is $399 a good price for the Onkyo 601S?
I have been trying to figure out what receiver I want...either the Onkyo 601 or the Denon 2803... and when I seen the $399 price tag I made up my mind (maybe).
$649 Denon 2803
$399 Onkyo 601
What would you go with? |

Does the 601 have pre-outs for all channels? |

Concerning pre-outs for all channels, not that I can tell from this web page. Change that URL to 701 and you can see many more RCA connectors next to the subwoofer out. I'm downloading the manual now, so I'll repost if this is wrong.
I too would have considered the Onkyo had it had pre-outs.

I can confirm that the 601 has only a subwoofer pre-out while the 701 has all-channel pre-outs.
It seems that in this price range you need to go to Marantz or Pioneer to get all-channel pre-outs! (NAD having all-channel pre-outs as well, but is a bit more expensive) |
