A frnd of mine got some bose speakers from somewhere almost for free...so all my advice of them not being good is of no use!!

So now can someone advice as to what would be the best budget receiver to drive them...?? And is there any difference in connecting Bose speakers as compared to the normal ones...
Also he did'nt get the so called Bose subwoofer, so he would need a sub too...
any suggestions !!

Any budget receiver will work, unless he has plans to upgrade later on. Then the receiver purchase would be dependent on that future upgrade.

Well, it sounds like he picked up some Bose cubes
If thats the case you should probably know that you cant hook them up to an amp by themselves, you must have the BASS MODULE in order to run them properly, otherwise they will blow with little effort! Just thought you'd like to know before u fry them.
